Stoked Organization Art Sessions 2009

Another really great event is happening in Los Angeles this weekend put on by Stoked Mentoring. Stoked Mentoring is a non-profit organization in which they provide skateboards, surfboards and snowboards to underprivileged kids who in normal situations might not be able to try these activities. Read more on it here: Stoked.Org

So about the event, they are doing a fundraiser to generate some income to keep this program going. They have wonderful art contributors all in unison to help out the cause. Read more info on Stoked Sessions 2009

I am psyched to say I have a piece in this show, and am happy the proceeds (if anyone bids on it, haha) are going to a good cause.View some of the artwork from Stoked Sessions 2009

If you are in LA during this time, please come on by and support. / 125 E. 6th St. Los Angeles.

Dan Pensyl FTK Interview

Next up on the list of overwhelmingly posting everything is this wonderful Dan Pensyl Interview. If you know Dan, you know that dude is a workhorse, and just rips everything in sight. So shooting this was awesome and easy.

Thanks to FTK Magazine and of course Dan Pensyl, not as much for the skating part, but for saving some woman for the rest of the male population.

(Note that he is siderocking on the devils door.)

Red Bull's Held Hostage in Hawaii Story

I went to Hawaii a while back with Red Bull, I think it was this past winter for a little skate/blog/vacation trip. The last time I was in Hawaii it was with Blind and Ezekiel for some demos.

This trip was rad, we just chilled and skated and partied with the Red Bull Wing Girls, haha.. Pretty easy going. Read about the blog/story by tapping your little mouse on the picture above. Also watch the video below, and enjoy.

I'm lucky its my job.

I got my first small solo photo show at United Anaheim Skateshop tonight, in concuction with the DC "Friday Night Lights" Am Contest

Actually the title "I'm lucky it's my job." seems very presumptuous as it should read, "I am very very fortunate, that people would even consider to send me to these places, so that I can shoot photos and make a living!" But obviously that title was a bit too long, so I took the shorter and possibly misconstrued phrase. But in the end, thank you, I am very grateful.

Jose Pereyra on SlapMagazine.com

Jose Pereyra is the homie who is ripping out in New York! I always get texts from him, which I don't understand, because its full of urban slang. I realized it's just his way of checking in with me, and seeing if I am good, he is a very sweet. Recently he got some much deserved love at Slap Magazine.

Jose rips, and I have been waiting for these photos to come to the surface. Btw, the backside bigspin from loading dock into cellar door is INSANE! Check it for yourself next time your in New York. Good shit Jose, and thanks to Slap for posting the photos. PS: Jose, stop losing your phone, and you can actually keep your same number, holmes.

Danny Falla Interview in FTK

Again, I feel like I am slacking on my blog/portfolio together. It's coming along nicely, but it's still rather overwhelming. The guys I shoot and the interviews they are in, I like them all. Is that bad? Should I be more critical? Either way, this is the first installment of posting everything! This is Danny Falla's interview in FTK Magazine the Oct 08 Issue.

Randy Ploesser Ezekiel Ad 2009

In serious need of a update, here is my first of many. I got a couple mins, just enough time to update nicely. This was an Ezekiel Clothing ad I shot of Randy Ploesser when he was living out here. Lucky for me, this spot is on a major street, but only a couple blocks from my house (you cant go wrong with a session in your own town).

The portrait to the right was a candid shot in San Jose when we were on our Ezekiel Northwest Tour. Randy was kinda disappointed in us for using this photo, which I can totally understand, but then again, this is such an epic photo of Randy's quirk.

A# Thang.

When out shooting with Lupfer, Derek and Vince another SD local Anthony Williams shot this amazing switch crooks to switch hillbomb.

Awesomely, Alphanumeric posted this lovely shot on their website. Then when they left, drank 40oz, on the way.
