Ezekiel Girls Ad in Nylon

This is quite the random post. Last year, we went on a catalog shoot for Ezekiel down to Mexico. Not planning on shooting any sort of lifestyle, somehow I ended up shooting.. in which the final catalog's had a pretty good portion of my photos, for mens and woman. But what I had found out also, is they used a lot of my photos also for their ad campaign which was featured in a couple magazines including Nylon. Scanning through an old stack of magazines, I saw this ad and saw tons of my photos in it, which is awesome, because I am hoping some supermodel lingerie company will stumble upon my post/website and want me to shoot hot chicks all day long! My fingers are crossed, trust me.

Vince De Valle in Skateboarder

When I picked up Vince to shoot this sequence, its one of the first time's I met him. He didn't say anything the entire time in the car. I was thinking, "This is gonna be weird.." Found out later, he was a little stoney and was well.. just retarded. So, after time wore on and things wore off he was a talkative little pup and is super rad to hang out with! Thanks to Vince and Skateboarder for running this photo!

Dave Abair in Focus Magazine

In the fine words of Louie Barletta on our Ezekiel Northwest Tour

"How much did you get paid to make Dave look like an idiot."

Well its very unfortunate to both, but the reality is; 1. I didn't get paid. 2. Skateboarding has falls, and it's the falls that makes the lands soo much more sweeter. If you never fell, then skateboarding wouldn't be so hard, now would it?

Another Decenzo Day.

Another skate day with Ryan Decenzo. Joining us is Antoine and Nick "Promqueen" (fsboard pictured left) as they call him. As I might have mentioned before, Ryan is a super awesome dude as the other two, so we shredded in the local area, which is easy on the gas. What also makes skating with them easy, is they are rather keen on skating anything, so its not a ton of driving!

The trick that Ryan is doing above, he told me is called a Joe Dirt. "Brad Sheppard made it up." he announces as we walks back up the stairs after landing one. Apparently what this trick is "It's where you boardslide and you droop it soo far down to your trucks so the metal is grinding."
A little bit about Antoine: Dude is a french canadian, and contrary to your inital thoughts, he is quite the radical dude. Still talks very french, but super funny and laughs when I say some random gay joke, which make him the best dude to hang with (anyone who laughs at my shitty jokes is a pal in my book.)

Derek Fukuhara and Beyond in TWS.

Transworld did this article about amateur skaters and them doing some next level tricks. In my thoughts, this counts as a next level trick! Frontside bigspin to fs noseblunt. Kinda a weird trick, but definitely awesome. Derek always was commenting that this trick would be cool, but also kinda different. So one night he made his ideas come to life, and here you go! Thanks to TWS for hooking it up!

Osiris / John Lupfer Ollie

John Lupfer and I shot this photo right when we first met, this was second try! I don't think he was on Ezekiel yet, but I actually dont remember in the slightest. The footage was used in the Osiris video, but my photo never came out. Fortunatly for me, a couple months ago they needed a photo for their poster for their Osiris European Tour! Here it is! Thanks Osiris.

Ryan Decenzo and his Dakine Ad

Ryan and I skated this one day in Huntington, with Mr. Mark White, plus Lutzka and a couple other dudes where there. Eitherway, the sprinklers went on, and the water started to drain right in front of the rollup. Well, that didn't stop Ryan, and why should it... He's Canadian, they practically sleep in water/nature. If you notice (this was second try and the actual land) their is water spots flying off his board. If you see the ad, take a good look, you will see them. Thanks to Dakine for using this photo, awesome guys!

5boro Catalog

Danny Falla has turned pro for 5boro Skateboards. Congrats to Danny! Also, I am ever so proud to have shot most of the photos in the new 5boro catalog! I was invited to Peru with the 5boro team for vacation. Uyeda was already on the photo and Tombo was on the video, so I just shot tons of Xpan lifestyle photos. Such luck to find out they wanted them for the catalog! Thanks to all the 5boro guys for letting me come to Peru, and for using my photos! When you get a chance pick up some boards from 5boro and have a gander at the catalog!

FTK / Zered Bassett "That's Right"

During Maloof Cup I was hanging out with Seamus from Zoo York and Zered Bassett. Actually I think I might have passed out on the floor of Seamus room. Not really sure, but regardless I was able to shoot a portrait and do a small interview with Zered for FTK magazine. I posted the actual interview on Red Bull, but the layout is here for your eyes. Thanks to FTK for running my wild idea's.
